Close to 900 visitors made their way to Lövsta Stjärnborg for this year’s stallion show on Sunday. For the first time, the event was held outdoors, with the stallions shining just as brightly as the afternoon sun.

Three generations of the owning family behind Lövsta Stuteri opened the event with a welcome speech. Antonia Ax:son Johnson, together with her daughters Sophie Mörner and Alexandra Mörner, as well as granddaughter Stella Röhlcke, are all involved in the operations of the stud in various ways.

The spotlight then turned to the day’s 11 stallions – both show jumping and dressage sires – ranging from promising four-year-olds to established horses competing at international top level. The horses were presented by, among others, Jens Fredricson, Tinne Vilhelmson Silfvén (who also held a mini clinic on horseback), and Thomas Ryan.

Key themes that ran throughout the show were long-term thinking, rideability, and quality – all horses presented themselves impressively in the spectacular setting.

- "It was fantastic to see such great interest and so many people attending. This is one of the most important days of the year for us, where we get to showcase what we offer and how we work with our horses. But perhaps most importantly, it’s about meeting all the passionate breeders,” says Alexandra Mörner, part of the owning family.
