Heartbeat was nominated in 2016 by SWB in as the most promising future stallion of the year due to his successful start in his breeding career and talented offspring.
Heartbeat in 2018 became “Breeding Stallion of the Year” thanks to his three highly placed offspring at the Swedish Breeding Championships. Heartcore L won the 6-year old class, with Thelma Hästak placed fifth in the same class, and Viking Hästak was third in the 4-year old class.
Heartbeat has proven to be a top sire passing on his superb breeding characteristics as a modern sports horse for the international arenas. He continues to impress through producing high quality offspring. Heartbeat does not only give his offspring an amazing jumping technique but also outstanding rideability. In 2012 he was named by the judges of the stallion performance tests in Denmark “The Breeding Matador in jumping”. He was also awarded “Stallion of the Year” in Denmark in 2013, where he is an elite stallion.
Heartbeat is a statuesque stallion with a very good conformation. At the Danish licensing performance test in 2004 he was awarded the title “Flöjhingst”, achieving a total of 910 points for jumping. He was awarded 9 for type, 10 for his very good top-line and his musculature, 8 for the correct leg and hoof posture, and received a full 10 points for overall impression. His trot was highly judged, and the canter was particularly well received with a big scope and balance. Heartbeat won his 30-day performance test 2005 in Vilhelmsborg and became a champion both as a 4-, 5- and 6-year-old in Denmark. As a 5-year old he won the 2006 Danish young horse championship in jumping, achieving the maximum of 10 points in the eight assessment points. The same year he made four flawless clear rounds during the Young Horse World Championships in Zangersheide and took second place in the 5-years old championship in Falsterbo. Heartbeat has since competed successful at International Grand Prix level.
The Danish judgement of Heartbeat as a sire based on two breeding seasons was that he produced excellent offspring with good musculature and an especially good and well-balanced canter. It was also acknowledged that he passed on his good traits to his offspring, and was a good match for the majority of mares with jumping breeding lines.
Heartbeat has several approved sons and many offspring who compete at S-class level. A few that stand out include Albfuehren’s Happiness ridden by Steve Guerdat and Main Road ridden by Shane Sweetnam. His SWB approved son Hasard 1245 ridden by Niklas Arvidsson competes up to 160 level. His daughter Järta ridden by Karin Martinsen won the 2016 Swedish Breeders Trophy and the Elmia Scandinavian Horse Show for 7-year-old horses. Another daughter, Lucky Lisa, won the 3-year Swedish Breeders championships, and went on to compete successfully ridden by Alexander Zetterman with placements in International 155 classes, and during the Swedish International Horse Show.
The Heartbeat son Happy Feets Heartbeat (b. 2012, ue. Baloubet du Rouet) has been top placed as a young horse and is regarded as a potential future championship horse. He achieved, among other things, Denmark’s highest accumulated points in jumping during the Danish Warmblood’s young horse test. A total of 987, 5 points distributed with 9.5 on technique, 10 for scope, 10 for the canter, and 10 for rideability. Happy Feets Heartbeat (ridden by Stein Endresen) has continued to live up to expectations as a young horse and secured a number of victories.
Heartbeat has under the last years really proved to be a stallion to count on. He has had several offspring qualified for the World Young Horse Championships in jumping, and great successes as a sire during the Swedish Breeders Trophy.
The father Heartbreaker, a legend who consistently inherited resilience and reaction ability, was awarded the much coveted title "Horse of the Year" within KWPN 2015. Grandfather Nimmerdoor was presented with the title "Stallion of the Century" within KWPN. Heartbreaker has both its own fantastic merits and very successful offspring in sports and breeding. The grandfather Ramiro Z also speaks for himself and can be presented with titles such as "Stallion of the Century" and "King of Sires".
Heartbeat is approved in SWB, DWB, Zangersheide, Oldenburg, Hannover and the southern German federations.
Heartbeat has performance class 3 ***.
