Lövsta Stuteri expands partnership with Stud 111 - dressage stallions Van Vivaldi 1286 and Benefit 1420 to be stationed in Belgium for the 2025 season
Since 2024, the show jumping stallion El Barone 111 Z has been stationed at Stud 111, the same facility where he was bred. With Belgian dressage on the rise and an increasing demand for high-quality dressage stallions, Lövsta Stuteri and Stud 111 have decided to strengthen their collaboration for the 2025 season by stationing two of their top stallions, Van Vivaldi and Benefit, at the 111 stud farm.
- "We are delighted to expand our partnership with Stud 111 and to see such strong demand for our stallions. We know that they will have a 5-star home at Stud 111 and of course they will still be available for our Swedish breeders as well as breeders throughout Europe,” said Malin Cohlin, head of Lövsta Stuteri´s stud stations.
Van Vivaldi 1286 (2010, Vivaldi-Olivi, breeder E. & J. Schuiling) was crowned the first reserve Sieger of the 2012 Münster-Hahndorf licensing. He had a highly successful career as a young horse under Caroline Darcourt. As a 7-year-old Tinne Vilhelmson Silfvén took over the reins and brought him all the way to placements up to Intermediaire II. In addition to his competition success, Van Vivaldi has also proven himself as a remarkable breeding stallion and has been highly sought after by breeders in Sweden and worldwide.
He has sired nine approved sons, and his first offspring are now competing successfully at the advanced (S) level. During his time in Belgium, Van Vivaldi will be ridden by Helena Theeuwes, daughter of the stud's owner family and the 2024 Belgian Pony Dressage Champion as well a fifth place at the European Championships.
Benefit 1420 (2015, Belantis-Sir Tender, breeder Angelika Krause) joined Lövsta Stuteri in 2017 after being named Sieger stallion at the Oldenburg licensing. So far, Benefit has competed successfully up to Prix St. Georges under Linnea Cöster. His first offspring are already making their mark in young horse classes and tests, and he already has one approved son.
- “Van Vivaldi and Benefit are amazing stallions, both with a lot of talent, character, charisma and abilities. We are confident that they will be a strong addition to European dressage breeders”, says Tinne Vilhelmson Silfvén, head of Lövsta Stuteri.
In Belgium, Benefit will be ridden by Anke Moordtgat, responsible and rider of Stud 111’s dressage activities. Both stallions will also be presented at the BWP stallion licensing in January.
- "We are excited to offer these two top dressage stallions to our breeders in the coming season, with both of them already proven themselves successful in breeding in Sweden. We are grateful to our partner Lövsta Stuteri for the trust and look forward to extending our cooperation in the future", says Victor Theeuwes, owner of Stud 111.
Stud 111 is an EU-station so breeders across Europe will have access to both stallions through fresh semen.
