Presentation
During the performance test, Nixion VLS Z was assessed as long-lined, masculine, and well-muscled, with an adjustable canter that covers ground.
He was considered to have great capacity, good rhythm and balance, as well as forwardness and attentiveness. The test riders praised his scope and quality in the jumps, while emphasizing his rideability.
Pedigree
The sire, Nixon van't Meulenhof (Jos Verloy), has achieved placements up to 5* 155 level and is out of the legendary mare Carthina Z, who has produced three approved stallions and seven horses competing at advanced level, including the top stallion Emerald.
The dam, Nuage vd Donkhoeve, competed up to 120 level before being used for breeding, and among her four offspring, two stallions have been approved. In the mare's pedigree, there are both horses competing at advanced level and approved stallions. The maternal grandsire, Hunter's Scendro, was successful in young horse classes and reached the final in the Young Horse World Championships. After a period of injuries, he made a comeback in 145 classes.
The maternal granddam, Elegance vd Donkhoeve, has produced Emir vd Donkhoeve (145 classes), as well as Figa vd Donkhoeve and Odelisk vd Donkhoeve (both at 130 level). The maternal great-granddam, Maaike S, has produced Ukase vd Donkhoeve, who has competed at the 150 level.
