– Fantastic music, a fantastic routine and a fantastic rider, said Pether Markne after Tinne Vilhelmson Silfvén and Paridon Magi had finished their Freestyle in theTop Star competition in Friends Arena, Stockholm. It was a spotless ride on a well tempered Paridon Magi and it resulted in fifth place.
They were placed sixth in yesterday’s Grand Prix and had a mistake in the one time tempis, but today they nailed the changes. Along with everything else as well.
– I had a super feeling today, just as in Odense. Magi manages the environment and the arena really well and has a lot of fun in the ring. Yesterday I had a technical mistake and it was totally because the pilot was crappy. I waited a bit too long for him and didn’t have enough energy into the changes. It was all about lack of routine in our partnership. Today we had everything in place and I am super happy, Tinne says after her test.
Paridon Magi looked very nice, lots of energy and at the same time relaxed and happy. The test, to Broadway music, contains a lot of difficulties, such as transition from collected walk into the piaffe and then onto extended walk, and extended canter straight into the pirouette.
– The combination of movements makes the degree of difficulty. The movements come right after one another and I don’t have any spare lines to play with. I like this routine, because it tells a story, says Tinne.
The judges rewarded them with 78.275%, enough for a fifth place. And the competition was hard. Winner Isabell Werth and Don Johnson FRH did a super test, as well as Patrik Kittel and Deja, who was second in the competition. Up and coming 24 year old Cathrine Dufour on Atterupgaards Cassidy also did an excellent test.
Top Star is a new concept in Friends where the top riders in the world are invited and the audience was given a top class competition today with many really good tests
The world cup season started out really well for Tinne Vilhelmson Silfvén and Paridon Magi in Odense this weekend. In the Freestyle they were really close to 80 % and ended up in second place after Spain’s Severo Jesus Jurado Lopes and Lorenzo.
The cheering never wanted to stop when Tinne and Don Auriello presented their new freestyle program in Rotterdam. The music – an up beat medley from the 60’s – with the Beach Boy’s megahit Good Vibrations as a main theme, created a fantastic atmosphere in the arena. And now you can get the music as a ringtone!
