Lövsta Stuteri has acquired the stallion El Barone 111. The seven-year-old son of Emerald has been highly ranked in young horse showjumping classes, and in 2018 was one of the most popular young breeding stallions in Belgium.
El Barone 111 is regarded as one of the most interesting young stallions in Belgium. He was top ranked in the Belgian stallion jumping series “Pavo Cup” as a four-year-old, a five-year-old and a six-year-old and was flawless in all his international starts in 2018. El Barone 111 has a huge jumping capacity, balance and spectacular technique. His cool attitude, strong gallop and riding ability, combined with his desire to win, gives him the best qualities to succeed in the sport, following in the footsteps of his famous sire. El Baron 111’s first year`s foals have been highly rated, and their qualities are well regarded by both breeders and by auctioneers.
His sire Emerald and the Dutch rider Harry Smolders have an exceptional career in international show-jumping and are an anchor to the Dutch national team. Team medals from the Olympic Games, World Cup Finals, GCT and countless 5-star Grand-Prix top placements are among their achievements. As a breeding stallion Emerald has passed on his jumping predisposition numerous times. Out of his first year’s foals is among others the approved stallion I´m special de Muze, and the young jump star Igor, ridden by Jos Verlooy. His dam Naktibro was successful in sport and competed at the 150-jumping level, and is the sister of two approved stallions, one of which is Guidam Sohn.
His dams sire Libero H with Jos Lansink in the saddle was known worldwide in the sport and one of the fathers of modern jumping horses. In the third generation is the breeding legend Zeus, who left countless top sport horses and approved stallions.
“I have seen El Barone 111 jump several times in recent years and his jumping technique is outstanding. The interesting thing is to see how he has inherited the best jumping traits, while at the same time he is the modern type we need for today’s sport” says Jens Fredricson, breeding advisor at Lövsta Stuteri.
El Barone 111 will be stationed during the 2019 breeding season at Lövsta Stuteris partner Roshoeve in Belgium, while being competed by Rachel Steffen. Chilled semen will be available for shipment outside Belgium.
“We are proud to be able to offer El Barone 111 in our breeding program. Our Swedish based customers will have the opportunity to see him at our stallion shows in Helsingborg the last weekend in March, and Lövsta Seminstation the second weekend in April” says Malin Cohlin, head of Lövsta Seminstation.
El Barone 111 is free from WFFS.
